Experience, skills, qualifications required to be a Disability Support Worker:
- Minimum Certificate lll Individual Support or equivalent
- First aid & CPR HLTAID003
- National police check for employment
- Working with children check for employment
- NDIS worker orientation certificate
- NDIS Supporting effective communication certificate
- NDIS Worker screening check
- Minimum 12 months direct support or lived experience
- An understanding behaviours of concern
- Understanding of restrictive practice/intervention
- Unrestricted driver license
- Assist client with medication certificate (Desirable)
- Comprehensive car insurance
- COVID-19 Infection control certificate COVID-19
- Vaccination immunisation record
